LET’S GET STARTED
When you read the title of this blog, you might be saying to yourself, “How can I be MORE courageous when I’m not courageous now?” Let’s do a little activity together. Put an X next to the statements you can say yes to.
☐ Did you ever have a hard math problem that you kept trying until you solved it?
☐ Do you ever ask for help?
☐ Have you ever talked to a new kid at school or church?
☐ Have you chosen to do something new you never did before?
☐ Did you ever speak or perform in front of your class or crowd?
These are all actions that show COURAGE! So, you have been courageous after all! Now ask yourself, “How can I be more courageous?”

What’s your answer? How can you be more courageous?
Answer:
GOD HAS A PLAN TO HELP YOU BE MORE COURAGEOUS!
Isaiah 41:10 (NLT) says:
“Don’t be afraid, for I am with you.
Don’t be discouraged, for I am your God.
I will strengthen you and help you.
I will hold you up with my victorious right hand.”
You can be more courageous when you think about GOD’S CHARACTER and how He’s there for you.
God is with you through all things. He is personally involved in your life. He supports you by giving you strength and help. He cares for you and holds you up when you feel like giving up.
Here’s a way to remember this:
God HELPS me!
Here and near
Encouraging Father
Lifts me up
Perfect Helper
Strengthens me
LET’S WRAP IT UP!
What’s one area of your life that makes you worried or afraid?
How can the “God HELPS me!” acronym bring you courage in this area? Pray about it.
