Meet the Characters

Abby

Anxious Abby worries about a lot of things! She is a good softball player, but her fears often stop her from playing. Her favorite stuffed animal is Lambie!

Abby's Mom & Dad

Abby's parents love her dearly! They both grew up going to Camp Trust. Her mom's favorite camp memory is eating ice cream in the Snack Shop. Abby's dad loved being the pitcher on the camp softball team!

Abby's Little Sister

Abby's little sister is a fun-loving, spunky addition to the story. She loves tagging along on her big sister's adventures! She is always ready to cheer Abby on with her adorable smile!

Frankie

Frankie is everybody's big brother at camp! He's been going to Camp Trust for the past two summers and used to see himself as Fearful Frankie. He and Abby go to the same school.

Coach Courage

Coach Courage's nickname is Coach C. He coaches the Trusting Tigers softball team at Camp Trust. He is kind, supportive, and knows God's Truth! His favorite Bible verse is Isaiah 41:10.

Cammie

Cammie is a counselor at Camp Trust. She helps take care of the girls. She loves being outdoors, swimming, and teaching others about Jesus.

The Worries

The Worries show up at different parts of the story to symbolize Abby's anxious moments. They fill up Abby's backpack as she drags her fears around with her. See if you can spot the clues that show what the Worries are about to do next!

Meet the Author

Alyssa Cathers, M.A., is a biblical counselor who specializes in children and families at Foundations Christian Counseling in northeastern Pennsylvania. She is also an online adjunct instructor through BJU Seminary, homeschool educator, and former elementary school teacher. Alyssa and her family enjoy presenting Anxious Abby to schools, churches, and other organizations through storytelling and interactive activities. She is very thankful for her supportive husband Glen, four encouraging children, and special grandchildren.

Meet the Illustrator

Beth Snider is an illustrator and artist who resides in Kansas City.  For over ten years, Beth has worked as a professional wall mural artist.  While she is sought out for her custom paintings on canvas, her favorite medium is watercolor and pencil.  A connecting theme in Beth’s art is a child-like creativity that aims to inspire joy in whoever sees it.  Beth enjoys life with her husband Elliot, three sons, and one daughter. www.bethsniderart.com
